Eye of the Beholder

Post by Tawnos76 »

Tried searching around for a text version but have come up with nothing so far. Does anyone know if there ever was a fan version of putting these great trilogy of games into and actual adventure for running?

The only thing I think that might help with is would be found here:
The ALL-SEEING EYE

EOB I
GameFaqs - EOB II
GameFaqs - EOB III

And for fun:
GameFaqs - Gameboy Advance EOB

Probably have to do this as a project. I know I had thought about it. There's always Xanathar products coming out esp with this 5th ed now. I even read someone was or completed a Pool of Radiance one up to Secret of the Silver Blades. I was soooo close to POOLs being done and printed until I got a virus on the computer some 20 years ago. Never tried again but am thinking about it with things like the Gold Box Companion and this for EOBs. Course I'm so tied up doing non computer things soooooo.....

I have played the Gog games again as I played these through back in the day and I wanted to see if there was a way to bring them to the RPG table and have a live gaming session with a module version of the game.

Might have to play through with that automapper and just get a write up myself of it to create a module for DMing through.

The walkthroughs will probably be the easiest way to convert it into a workable module.

It inspired me enough to buy the realms packages and dragonlance. I know the labor of doing pools of radiance (and losing it) might try again. There are other eob walkthroughs also. I recommend reading them all.

Yeah, ASE works great. I am now going to mess around with EOB patch v1.9. After that, GBC with pools&curse.
At the edge of madness, he will show no sadness
Never broken, he'll be back for more
Proven under fire, over trench and wire
No fear of death, he's unshakeable
Forged for the war, he's unbreakable

I thought you were talking about the beholder trilogy of adventures that went with the I, Tyrant 2E beholder product.

The original set of Forgotten Realms PC games trilogy. The Forgotten Realms set 1 on GOG.com has it.

Harder back in the day as there was no auto mapping for it and you either had to remember the dungeon layout or draw it yourself.

Still funny how DOS just went to dosprompt without the ending. Fortunately, i finished EYE 1 on amiga first (theres a youtube vid).

ASE is fun to mess with and easy (easier than GOLD BOX companion tbh).

There's some new 5th ed Xanathar stuff coming out or is out. Might be ok ... To dl from a free site. Btw, i think Remuz has been destroyed. Forgot to check at library... Phone won't pop it up.
