Riddle - who can solve this?

Post by Halaster Blackcloak »

Ok, working on a riddle for the sub-level. Let me see how hard or how easy this is. Post your answers.

"It lies above, you search below
The depths of which you do not know
A cap of white can touch the sky
Go underneath and you might die."

What is it?

And an alternative:

"Four kings, their servants and queens
Ten others standing, their faces unseen
Two families dark, two families bright
Dancing amongst themselves into the night"

Tawnos, "an ocean" is not the right answer.

Tarrax, "a deck of cards" is the right answer.

So which would be better to use?

If you're looking to really stump the players, then the first one. I still have no clue as to what it is, unless the answers 'a mountain'? But otherwise, if you want to give your players a fighting chance, then the second.

Yup, the first one is "Undermountain" or perhaps more accurately, Mt. Waterdeep.
