Site update!

Post by Halaster Blackcloak »

Well, a big thanks to Mira for getting the linked pages of the main site set up! :D

We now have working links to the FAQ and Downloads page, and I'm assembling a list of links for the links page. Here's the main site page:

http://www.undermountain.org/bip.html

The page is also centered now. So if anyone has ideas, comments, suggestions, LMK.

Just a few little things that would make the site even more perfect:

Change the regular BIPP title in the forums section into the neat scroll BIPP banner that's on each page. Note: Make clicking on this banner take you back to the BIPP main page where the links to forums/faq/downloads/links is. Currently I don't see a quick way to navigate back to the main page other than hitting <BACK>

Add a little icon for the explorer address (http://undermountain.org/bip.html) You used to have a little BIP icon on the old site. You could use a similar one but perhaps with the golden lettering for BIP and the background would be any of these parchment examples you have.

Just my 2 pennies.

Just a suggestion, but anyway to get the monster book in a PDF format, maybe with updates, i think it would be alot more appealing to people to download it......

Indeed! So, did you want to volunteer to convert it to PDF format?

I dunno, I kind of like it as a html at the moment. I think I just saved each html page, but I guess a pdf would be easier. Another idea that would be great is a page where we can submit items, monsters, spells. Some sites that have done this are Realms of the Dragoneers, ADnD.com, Dragonsfoot. Take a look at one of the better 2nd ed monster submissions I've found:

Little Book of Horrors

Click on the donate a horror to my little zoo link. Of course, just using the forums would work as well. From what I've noticed about the database there is that they are organized by various methods.

I would if I could, lol, plus, idk, looking back on my comment I look at ur folio of monsters as not completed yet, so y offer it as a PDF, keep it as is, and gather more, once all the submissions have come in then we can work on it....which I would really be happy to do....if I had the appropriate programs, LMAO, ;)

Just so nobody gets confused I'm a pirate, so if u know the program that is needed for something like this, let me know and I'll start looking for it. No bones thrown here

Yeah, I do have to add more monsters to it. I've been trying to set aside time to dig up more of my old creations to add to it. The problem, once again, is finding an artist to do the work. With our new artist, I want him to focus only on Ruins of Undermountain III: The Deadly Levels. I'm anxious to get that wrapped up.

I already did, but it's a simple version without the "background" texture of the website.

Algolei, can you convert it to PDF format with the background? And can it be made so that you can print it up without the background? I'd love to have it in that format ready for download. We'd need to use a regular font as well.
