Merry Christmas!

Post by Halaster Blackcloak »

An early wish for a Merry Christmas to everyone! Christmas Eve (tomorrow night) has always been the single most special, most magical night of the year! I wanted to track down a video for one of my all time favorite Christmas carols - the Carol of the Bells, by Trans-Siberian Orchestra! I could listen to this full blast for hours! The little girl conducting and the kitties steal the show! But what a powerful carol!

Xmas Eve was great this year! But I just realized something odd about the old cartoon/claymation Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer movie. On the Island of Misfit toys, there are...well...misfit toys because they're not "normal". A cowboy who rides an ostrich, a boat that sinks, a toy bird that swims (not flies), a Jack-in-the-box named "Charlie", a train with square wheels, a water pistol that squirts jelly, etc. But the little girl's doll...what's misfit about her? They never give any explanation of how or why she's a "misfit" toy. Or have I been missing something for 50+ odd years now?

Lol. Only now do I see this thread. Well, Happy New Year. Belated Christmas greetings.
At the edge of madness, he will show no sadness
Never broken, he'll be back for more
Proven under fire, over trench and wire
No fear of death, he's unshakeable
Forged for the war, he's unbreakable
