BY the spell Dimension door, if you open the 'other end', and its IN somehting solid (since you automatically go through), you get shunted to the astral plane.
BUT What about the Psionic power of dimension door?? SINCE That power doesn't even specify if you HAVE TO go through it, could you open it, See that the other end is "IN something solid", and say "butter this, i am not going through". OR would opening it INTO an area of solid stuff (cause you didn't know), make the power automatically fail?
