I really should have amended this post. Halaster must be pretty busy? Anyone here use that social media stuff?

I certainly don't, I avoid it like the plague it is :D

The people I care to talk to have ways of reaching me. I'm a private person and prefer to remain that way. I'm certainly chatty enough around certain people, but I definitely don't want the world breathing down my neck.

The closest I get to Social Media is boardgamegeek. I like to list my collection of RPG books, PC games and board games and log the plays I get. I like he statistics.

I have a Facebook account, but I keep the chat feature shut down. I pretty much just take PM there if someone needs to contact me.

I don't do social media now but I'll probably be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century before long.

Oh, I have the tech, I use a tablet, though it's mostly just for reading, and I use my Macbook all time, for both work and play. I just avoid all the social networking stuff. If I were involved there, I'd have to put up some facade that would be acceptable to work, which would be fake to all the people that really knew me. I prefer just keeping details quiet than having to create a lie. The work me and the real me are not the same, nor should they be. But people can and do get fired from jobs who discover the real person (through social media, almost always) to not fit their corporate image. I've had this same job for 25 years now, I don't want to try and look elsewhere for work :)

I'm thinking of trying to find a free forum so I post my own crap to my hearts content. Mostly offline emulator gaming (albeit it wasn't when I just played on the c64).

Lots of free forums out there, I'm sure you can find something that will work.

It's been years since I've used an emulator. Last game I recall playing on an emulator was Rush'n Attack.

Well, I haven't checked all the emulators to use on Win7. All of the ones I had worked on xp so here's hoping. The gameboy advance works well enough.

I've been working to finish this game and need to get back to it. I just find it hard on a laptop.

Ultima 3 by Sven for the GBA

I need to check my c64 emulator. I couldn't get the colecovision/gamegear/sega mastersystem emulator to work. (its an all in one package).

I just read a thread about Doriche getting canned. That's too bad. He was really a talented mapper.

Halaster must be going through some really rough stuff. I know when I was pissed off all the time with my noninternet connections years back even before I was gone for two years, I'd take it out on internet people.

Bad thing for me to do. My sig show the game I took most of my anger out on. Pity, as the owner of that site cut me a lot of slack and did a lot for me. Now I'm in that ethereal zone with the group there. They don't entirely trust I'm genuine in being nice.

I was starting to do it at DF a little too. Esp with politics, religion, and digital media. I practice a lot of meditation. After being near dead I don't get as angry. I really hope Hal and everyone here is OK.

I wouldn't mind getting into contact with Doriche sometime either.

That's why when all us zombies come back to our crypt we drink a brew of resurrection while watching the healing box of visions.

My gaming facebook page which I barely ever visit. Yes, CRPGs can be full of inspiration, but they also can deaden your gaming face to face. Then again, I'm a bit of a hermit anyways.

The "huge" weather cold front was mild. Some lightning and thunder with a little rain and that as it. Today is looking 25H and 3L.

Last nite was around -10F. School was actually cancelled for the little kids due to the cold. I think it's a balmy +15 right now though! :P
