What is the Back In Print Project?

Post by Halaster Blackcloak »

Greetings all, and welcome to the Back In Print Project.

The purpose of the Back In Print Project (or BIP for short) is for online friends to work together to develop new adventures and new material for the AD&D game, to use in their own games at home. The public forums will be used to discuss general aspects of the BIP Project, including ideas for new adventures, new projects, suggestions, feedback, etc. Right now the focus is on 2nd Edition AD&D since we have lots of 2nd Edition fans here, but we intend on expanding into 1st Edition AD&D as well as Basic D&D and OD&D in the future.

Specific projects will have their own individual public forums, ie Ruins of Undermountain III: The Deadly Levels, or the Caves of Sydwall, which is the first adventure being developed as part of the overall BIP Project, and the Complete Illusionist Handbook project, which is exactly what it sounds like. This will allow public input on the ideas.

The actual development teams will meet in the private developer forums which are only readable by the developers. Each project will have its own development team.

We welcome new ideas, suggestions, and of course submission of new material and discussion of AD&D. And no AD&D site would be complete without a general discussion forum for all things AD&D, even those things not related to the project itself.

Hope you enjoy your stay!
