It's totally possible, they just make unrealistic goals for their technology division, then they fire most of them when they're not getting the results they asked for. They just went through another round of dismissals. I find this ironic considering how I know and own no less than 3 independently ...

What? It COULD happen.

Seriously, I hope he is okay.
I'd like to see that. :D
I don't think he would. I bet he'd rather not be okay than to play 4e, you know, given the lesser of two evils....

I haven't changed the Fireball spell. Fireballs are what they are, and they expand to the dimensions they expand to every time. I could see a smaller scale spell being developed, however. A Firebolt or similar spell, if one hasn't already been written up in the Spell Compendiums.

I like them. They've allowed me to acquire a few individual modules I didn't have back in the day as part of a supermodule. One of the B modules in In Search of Adventure, for example. I forget which one.

I watched part of this a while back, and got bored very quickly, and laughed at his idea to have the party write the adventure as they go. Yeah, I think we can all safely predict what happens when players are given the reins over their own fortunes and fates...

I'm getting into Dundjinni a lot. It's amazing how it can manipulate artwork and customize a single piece of art to get what you're looking for. I love how you can cut and customize art pieces to get what you need. The sheer quantities of art objects available to DJ is wonderful. Layering to get the...

I found BIP through Halaster on the AD&DCampaigns website, and before that, on the Mortality website. He and I started chatting a lot via email over the status of where D&D was headed, and we mutually agreed that it was headed towards emasculation, as Halaster likes to say. My avatar is a co...

That was such an articulate and intelligent blog, I saved it to read again and again. I don't want to sound like Nostradamus here, but this is what a friend and I have been discussing for years, right after the intiial release of 3e. It's sad our predictions are coming true too. I wish we were wrong...

And now it looks like WotC is turtling into their protective copyright shells with this latest version of their GSL. I love it. What clearer indication of a company that doesn't know what the fuck it's doing than to completely alienate, not only long time supportive fans like us (and even 3e'ers), b...

I can't defend the stances of people who support buying the products for the motives you list. Instead of a whole new (old?) edition, seeing how I've grown very weary of editions, I wouldn't mind seeing an entire website created for house rules where people could post their personal house rules for all to share. A forum for every major topic in AD&D, and even subfora for those topics too ...

It can't be a very fun position for Ed to be placed in, seeing what they're doing to his Realms, and ending up having to "do the best he can with it". That just sounds like cries of pain and sorrow to me.

Re: 4E, has Hasbro finally delivered the killing blow?

I've seen the 4E PHB and it is far worse than I could ever have imagined. And I had really low expectations for it going in! Uh oh. Clerics can start with an AT WILL ability that does 1d8 + their wisdom modifier damage, using their Wisdom vs the foes Reflex. It has a 5 square range AND one of their...

The only interest I have in 4e are features of the game I can strip mine from it for my game and convert said rules to my 2e game, and to give them a 2e feel. I'm not so old school that I'll refuse to look at new rules I haven't seen yet and dismiss them out of hand, but I'm also not interested in p...
