I don't see it in 1st ed, not sure about OD&D, but there is a miracle spell in 3rd ed and up. It is the cleric version of wish and in those editions is a 9th level cleric spell.

I would have to rule that such effects would work. I take the meaning of the statement of spells being ignored to mean damage is ignored. Some special effects could still come into play such as falling down with grease, being entangled or being grabbed (but not damaged) by an evards black tentacle.

I think the adventures in UM III should be limited to the levels contained in the set. I would love to see more adventures in Undermountain, but they should be implemented as separate adventures.

It doesn't say they don't stack though. As such we have always used them that they do. If you don't let them stack, they are worthless. My group and I went one step beyond as well and used the healing proficiency to do first aid to recover 1 hp immediately, 2 if you incorporated herbalism. It made t...

If I was building a priest specifically to hunt undead it would be a specialty priest of Kelemvor or Lathander, both are very proficient at dealing with undead.

Lol. I ran the lost level about 2 years ago. The group had a wannabe necromancer mage that raised a bunch of skeletons to try to get by the beholders. The rest of the group wanted to go another way as they were rightfully afraid of the beholders. Well, the mage marched his skeletons in to the attack...

The Monstrous Manual does not mention one. It does say an amulet of life protection stops the attack though. However, the monstrous manual does use italic print, letting us know its the same as the spell trap the soul which in an instance such as a demi lich would permit a save vs spell and any magi...

Use in improved magic mouth spell in conjunction with programmed illusion. If you have access to Dragon magazine # 229 read the article there concerning illusions. It's called Emil Duli Wonk's traveling illusionists' seminar. Wonderful story/article about illusions.

I would say it depends on how effective and what types of magical barriers you want it to work on. Does it only work on "wall" spells such as wall of force, wall of stone or wal of fire? or does it go so far as prismatic wall, prismatic sphere? Perhaps there should be a limit on the level ...
