For the future I will suggest Holodeck. Dungeon Masters will be required to wear red robes and talk cryptically. Within a week, someone would be chopped in half by Moriarty wielding a batleth. :P Cost prohibitive, and frankly, it'd be a major pain in the ass to set up and coordinate. It's hard enou...

An even kewler idea would be a room with four projectors, one for each wall. You could put up an image of what the whole area looks like, with the players actually sitting at the table within the scene.

http://www.undermountain.org/colorroom.jpg Scary huh? At least the bedsheets match. Kinda. Gyarghh!! My sister's livingroom is in darker shades than that. I just haven't added the dark shading wash to the pink parts yet (except for the hair). By the way, if you look at the left ...

Algolei, if I came across a cyclops of that color patter, I would RUN! And I mean RUN! :) She chose those colours to match her living room. Don't try to imagine it, you can't.... Anyway, it was warm yesterday, so I primed some new figures: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v153/Algolei/Figure...

Nice, Hal! I see you've got that same Cyclops my sister bought for herself. She asked me to paint it in very specific colours: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v153/Algolei/TheCyclops.jpg It's not finished yet. I just can't muster up enough energy to continue putting pinks and greens onto it!

I use laminated grids, suitable for that edition I won't mention with all the 5' squares. Back in the 90s, I laminated three or four different types of paper I bought from The Armory , each one about 24" by 36". I guess The Armory must be long out of business by now, though.... :? Wait, no...

Wow, http://www.scribd.com/ looks like exactly the type of site I was looking for a while ago! I'm always having problems figuring out how and where to host documents online.

Re: Let's talk Minis!

It must be spring! Time to get out in the wide world and do some spray painting -- I've got, jeez, at least thirty figures that need priming. Below is a caster I usually use. I had a blue one from a long time ago that once upon a time looked pretty nice, but he's been chipped and abused over 15 year...

I already did, but it's a simple version without the "background" texture of the website.

I should probably use that site. My adventures are called "Evil Mountain" and "The Village of Kyrburg" and "The Trip to France." (I'm not kidding, either. Those are the names!) Let's see what three I can get to replace them with, completely at random: Twisted Caves of M...

The more poison types, the better. Even if I run a 1E campaign, I use more than one poison type! Spell level caps never mattered in any of my campaigns because mine were always low-level, but my old friend and DM did run one 20th-level and higher game. He hated spell level caps, so I still didn't en...

Hard to be certain, I try never to say my own name. Last time I put up a poll about it, I think the consensus was "AL-go-lay." However, my mother would pronounce it "al-GO-lie." And there are some who have called me "AL-go-LEE." People have called me "Al,&qu...
