They already have an errata page for 4E.

sad, really. Especially since from what I can garner, much of the errata is causing the game to 'break' while in play.

This new game they call Dungeons & Dragons was simply not ready for publication.

heh, yeah that would be Jim Raggi. I've known him for about ten years now. Never had the opportunity to game with him. Hell, when he lived here in Atlanta I never knew he was into AD&D. It wasn't until he moved to Finland that he brought that subject up. And as you can tell if you read through t...

Can you be more specific? Got any preferred barfbag nominees in mind? remember the monster compendiums that were first introduced with AD&D 2E? The artwork for a majority of those were horrid single line black and white stuff that a middle school art student could draw up. :? Kobold? yuck! Most...

no more assassin or illusionist as character classes Is that a typo or did you mean that they re-established Illusionists as a specialty wizard class? yes, I realize the illusionist was grouped in under 'Wizard', but what I guess I should have elaborated on was that they weren't their own character...

hmm, I guess I made myself sound like an idiot above with my rather quick response. I guess I should elaborate... I was somewhat resistant to 2nd edition when it was first presented because it changed a lot of things about the game I came to know and love over several years time: AD&D (i.e. 'my ...

In 1988 I was very resistant to THAC0 and many other things that changed my game for the worse. But after trying a game or two using THAC0, I then realized how simple it truly was. I too had to spend a few minutes here and there yesterday explaining THAC0 and then realizing folks were forgetting a b...

Jeff, I'm glad you were able to get off to a good start. I feel we had a similar 'good first session' yesterday on the west side as well. It appears the older editions are alive and well in the ATL! 8)

I look forward to reading about more of your sessions. Congratulations!

It seems to me that the entire purpose of BIP is to continue to produce products for current AD&D gamers, and in part, to attract new AD&D gamers. I have to say, this thread does not seems to represent the best you have to offer gamers, and does not show a good reflection of who you all are...

for anyone who might be interested, the Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition can be found at Wal-Mart and Target for $19.99. And it's on one disc now (not 4+), and comes with an extra storyline or two. I realize these rooms and hallways look pretty empty, but these were taken when I was going back through rebuilding the areas for a re-vamped version of our older module.
