Daaaaammmnn!!! Oh man, I'm stoked! I just posted a link for this over at DF. Halaster, you keep me up too late with these late-night phone consults, but we do seem to get a lot of work done in the wee hours so I guess I can't complain!  I've been tapped to join in developing the ...

A couple of Halaster's whiney enemies started their usual shit, but that was expected. Looks like overall though, there was a lot of support and praise for it. I noticed that people were surprised that everything was free. Free is a good thing, in most people's eyes! :)

I'll dig around and send you some ideas, Halaster. I should be able to dig up a couple of unique monsters at least.

For those who have incorporated Greyhawk stuff like ToEE and A1-4, how did it feel? Did it merge well, or did it feel a little odd? I've considered doing this, but wasn't sure if it would mesh well.

I'll throw my hat in by agreeing with everyone else. I feel the same way. Especially about damage caps. I'd love to hear Halaster rant about "emasculated wizards", because that's precisely what it did. I'd hate to be a strictly btb 2E wizard because spell caps really weakened them.

Back when I was a player, our DM once ran us through various areas of Levels 1-3 of Undermountain. We had the misfortune of accidentally releasing a demon that Halaster (the character, not our site admin :P ) had set in a particularly devious trap. It was either on Level 2 or 3, I forget which. Well...

Oh man, a 4-poster quadruple sized layer for Halaster would be sweeeeet! Do you have any plans to make his level special, ie different in some way than all the rest of Undermountain?

I thought I saw a post at K&K Alehouse (I think) about Llauranella - wasn't she the person who pretended to commit suicide and it turned out to be a false report she made up or something? I wonder how many of the grudge-holders there will change their tune when they realize they weren't being pe...

McDeath, I wrote Halaster about that thread and he was disappointed to see a lot of what he called mis-perceptions going on, so he asked me to post some explanations there. Hopefully that clears up any misunderstandings people may have. Halaster, is there any way to make registration easier, without...

I'm anxious to see this because I've always missed the illusionist being its own class as it was in 1E, and this supplement sounds like it can help re-create that feeling of the illusionist as a really unique, separate class. How much work is actually done?

I tend to up the HD on monsters myself. I think dragons should get d20s, certain demons d10 to d20 (d20 for demon lords), golems should have d12, etc. Especially monsters that are supposed to be really tough, it makes no sense to give them d8s for HD.

I liked both 1E and 2E, but I play a mix of both, like many others have mentioned. I sorta like the 1E ranger better than the 2E ranger (sorry Halaster! :P  ) . More a mystic warrior than an outdoorsman. Just kinda has a more AD&D feel to me. I'd agree that the 1E DMG had far more useful i...

My players are greedy little hoarders! :) They save every damned magical item they find, then sell the least powerful stuff, but only in a pinch if they need to (like to pay for a resurrection). Maybe they have some dragons blood in them! But they sometimes give items to followers and ...

After reading some of Halaster's rants about 3E, it's not a surprise that they may be taking level drains out of 4E. They took magical aging out of 3E, and severely toned down level drains while adding cheap, simple, fail-proof fixes. Why not just take it out altogether in 4E? I can see 5E, d...
