Level Draining Undead - Revisited
Old topic, new thoughts! So I'm going to try running another Zoom AD&D game again with a group of old friends I've known from grade school. We'd stopped playing for awhile because of attendance issues and what not, but that seems fixed. And with Halloween season coming (I refer to Oct. 1st...

Re: Is anyone else having site problems?
Got someone looking at it now. It looks like we need another phpBB update but I wanted to make sure we can keep the same traditional parchment paper theme like we did last time. Hopefully everything will be working properly shortly.

Re: Is anyone else having site problems?
No, the problem is there was another PHP update at Hostmonster and now the phpBB version is out of date. Is the site working right for you? I have errors no matter which browser I try using.

Is anyone else having site problems?
Is anyone else noticing the site freezing up or having the same problems where you get an error message when posting, then go to re-post only to see the message already posted? This sucks - looks like I'm gonna have to hire someone to fix the site again.

Not sure I have an idea on this. I never used psionics in AD&D. To me, that belonged in Gamma World.

Re: Back to work
I gotta see if AI can produce line art, pencil art. I mean, the art is a big factor, but the content is what counts. Still, having that art brings the entire thing up to a new level. I'd be very disappointed if I bought a product like that and it had no art. Nobody has guessed what Brodeen's Magical...

Re: Back to work
Hey guys! We're so close yet so far away. To update... Level 7 is completely finished The sub-level ( Arachnia ) is completely finished Level 8 is almost finished - there are only 13 rooms left for Level 8 that need writing - however, they are already planned out and outlined. The New Monsters (all ...

Upgrade announcement!
So Hostmonster is once again upgrading servers in the first week of February. Sometimes this causes glitches and the site may show up intermittently as offline. Not to worry, I'll be watching them. But if any of you notice the site is not working right or you can't access it, email me so I can bitch...

Re: Mirror image.. WHILE ON something?
Also, looking back on your original post and the examples there, some of those situations simply would not work. The spell has a 12' diameter circle area of effect - a circle 12' across. No way could you fit 5, 6, 7, or 8 wagons, horses, chariots, etc. in that space. So considering that, it would by...

Re: Mirror image.. WHILE ON something?
I'm thinking, as you said, having it be able to make duplicate things like horses would make it a more powerful spell. But the spell has inherent problems. The spell says that the duplicates do exactly what the actual wizard does . So if the wizard mounts a horse, do all 8 images (assuming the max n...

Re: GRR 5e...
Yeah, California is as failed a state as you can get. About as bad as Illinois is up here. Totally fucked. I thought they had something in a ballot about voting to split CA as you mentioned - I thought it was something where they wanted southern CA (LA area) to be broken off the north end. They want...

Re: Megadungeon Ideas & Inspirations
Yeah, can't be done. You figure, if you have a 300 pg. supplement, you're going to need about 50 pages to detail all the background, ways in and out, monsters, etc. The original Undermountain box set had 39 pages that were not room descriptions. And that was in a supplement that had only 126 pages, ...

Re: GRR 5e...
I couldn't get past the first sentence or two. The guy is a fucking idiot. The moment someone starts whining about how alignment is a straightjacket because you can't be a CE druid, they lost the argument and proved their ignorance of the system. D&D (the real game not the 3E-5E crap) is based o...

Re: Megadungeon Ideas & Inspirations
That Castle of the Archmage sounds phony. Another 13 leveled dungeon detailed in one book? Unless it's 600+ pages, that's simply not possible and still have any sort of quality to it.

It is stated.
"A wizard can have only one familiar at a time, however, and he has no control over what sort of creature answers the summoning, if any at all come."
2E PHB, pg. 134

Re: Followers/Familiars when Dual classing?
I've had so few dual or multi-classed player characters over the years (only one player ever really had a dual classed character) that this has never come up. Here's my thoughts though... A familiar is magically bound to the character, so I would rule that the familiar stays. After all, a dual class...

I needed the DMG, also, thanks. But I really needed a copy of the PHB more so. Do you have a link to that?
