| While Dormammu talks to Loki, the Watcher appears behind him. Surprised that the Watcher was able to penetrate his mystic shield, Dormammu threatens the Watcher. Personally, I've always felt that Dormammu was a match for the Watcher, although most people put the Watcher in Galactus's league. I tend to think of Galactus as much more powerful than the Watcher or Dormammu. Still, the Watcher would normally be a tough battle for Dormammu, but not while he holds the Evil Eye! ;-) It was so great to see the Watcher appear here, because it lent a sense of grandeur to the entire saga, as if this was one of the most important events at the time in all the universe. It sure was for me back in the summer of '73! ;-) |
