Avengers vs. Defenders: Who's Who of the Saga
Unbelievably, no less than 50 Marvel characters populated the pages of this first great crossover saga! Below is a listing of all the charcters that appeared in the story. Characters that appear in the issues but are technically not part of the crossover are noted. For example, the saga in Defenders starts in issue #8, although only the last few pages. The first half of the book finishes up the storyline before it, with Red Ghost and Attuma. But I've listed them since they appear in that issue. Also, some characters appear only in a one-panel cameo shot, and as such are labeled "cameo". Others like Prester John or the Watcher appear several times or have very small though significant roles, so they're listed as "small part" since they have more than a cameo, but not much more.

Well, that's the complete listing of characters that appeared in the crossover. Quite a selection, huh? I used to say I wanted to have a Famous Covers figure for every character that appeared here, but since ToyBiz has only made 10 of them, that would leave me with 40 customs to make. Maybe not. Then again...
